It’s Time to “Roll Out the Barrels” in SLO Wine Country

Roll Out the BarrelsGet ready to celebrate summer and wine with the 24th annual Roll Out the Barrels SLO Wine Country event. Be prepared for an all-around good time with four days of festivities geared towards celebrating what makes SLO Wine Country and our local chefs so special.

Read on for more details on what to expect over the Roll Out The Barrels weekend including Barrels in Mission Plaza, Winemaker Dinners, the Passport to SLO Wine Country and the Summer Krush concert.

Barrels in Mission Plaza – Thursday, June 19th

Barrels in Mission Plaza launches the four-day event on Thursday night. Held in the historic downtown Mission Plaza, SLO Wine Country wineries will partner with local chefs to present exquisite pairings from 5:30pm until 7:30pm. The entire evening features “grown here, made here” food and wine accompanied by a live show  featuring the Mighty Croon Dogs.

Choose from General Admission ($40) or a special VIP Early Entry ($60) which includes an additional reserve wine tasting from 4:30pm until 5:30pm. All tickets include a commemorative wine glass and wine & food pairings.

Winemaker Dinners – Friday, June 20th

On Friday evening, five wineries will be holding winemaker dinners where you will have the pleasure of dining with the winemakers, tasting barrel samples and receiving an extensive education in wine and food pairings. You will want to buy your tickets early as space is limited for these dinners.

Passport to SLO Wine Country – Saturday, June 21st and Sunday, June 22nd

Get ready to experience two days packed full of wine and food pairings, reserve barrel tastings, library wine tastings, live entertainment and exclusive specials. With more than 20 participating wineries, you will be sure to find the perfect combination of wines and atmospheres to satisfy your group’s variety of tastes and preferences.

Your two-day ticket includes a commemorative wine glass, 6-pack wine tote (while supplies last) and complimentary wine and food pairings at all participating locations. Summer Krush

Conclude your weekend of wine with a very special Sunday afternoon of music, wine and food at the Avila Beach Resort. Summer Krush includes a featured lineup of Gavin DeGraw, Matt Nathanson and Mary Lambert. The wine tasting lounge will be open from 1:30pm until 3:30pm before the concert.
